Campaign Story

Hi everyone! My name is Sarah, and my husband is Michael. A little about us, I am a childcare teacher and assistant director, and Michael is a marine mechanic. We met in 2018, and in 2023, we got married!

When I was sixteen, I was diagnosed with PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome). At the time, the doctor didn’t go into detail about all the future complications I would have. She prescribed me birth control and told me it would solve my problems. Now, fifteen years later, my husband, Michael, and I are having trouble having a child. We knew starting this journey there would be bumps in the road, but we never imagined it would be this difficult.

After numerous attempts with fertility medication, our doctor has recommended that we try IUI. Although we have insurance, it does not cover the cost of treatment. We are hoping to raise enough funds to undergo multiple rounds of IUI, which will include the medication, blood work, ultrasounds, and the procedure. We would like to raise enough funds in the event the initial attempt is unsuccessful.

Whatever funds we have left, we would like to donate to another couple in a similar situation as ours. We knew the struggle is hard and want to help others like our friends and family have helped us.
